About Us

I am quite an impatient person so actually being here right now is quite something. Its taken 9 years to be in this moment. We live in a fast world. I lived in that fast world. I had the trimmings, you know, the house, the car, the motorbikes and the holidays. A beautiful family that I hardly saw because I was to busy working away from home for weeks on end to really appreciate the time when I was home with them. Things needed to change.

Photography had been in the family a little. My father had shot and edited film back in the day. I had shot film too in my 30's with very little idea of what I was doing. 

​

In  2017 I decided to study photography and really get to know my camera (DSLR Nikon D5500) and all of its inner workings. I am certified and accredited as a professional landscape photographer with the AIPP-Australian Institute of Professional Photography. Unfortunately, 18 months after my accreditation the AIPP ended, citing Covid and inability to run its external mentoring and to get members as one of the reasons.

I have a few words of wisdom:

​

• Never believe you are not good enough

• Always accept constructive criticism from professionals and learn from their wisdom

• Never be so proud to think you are better than someone else

• When you fail in your own expectations then try harder, push harder. Its the only way 

• Don't wait for the shot, wait for the light

• Never stop travelling and exploring

• Always tell your partner your equipment was half what you paid for it and it's an "Investment" :-)

• Shoot with your eyes and your gut. Brands don't matter but knowledge of your tool does.
