Sandwiched in-between Kuranda and Mareeba lies Emerald Creek and Emerald Creek Camping. Late in the afternoon I had the camera set up and composed around the pontoon in the middle of the lake. There was however a lot of cloud around and I wasn’t sure I was going to get a late afternoon shot with all the colours of the trees reflecting across the almost mirror like lake. However, right on cue the clouds parted for the briefest of moments and ‘Monet was born”
